a cure for the flu.

1 Air-Force mandated, annual flu shot +
1 Benjamin Ross =
1 sick Ben & 1 sick Lenae or
2 sick parents & 2 very young children running wild for several days.

---

The good news is that while we've been coughing and sneezing all over the place, we've caught some half-decent TV shows. And since we don't feel like going anywhere or doing anything, we're open to a lot more TV than we normally are... so, I guess, the flu + (Ben & Lenae) = TV open-mindedness. For example, we ended up on the Travel channel a few days ago. The location of interest was Chicago, and the subject was deep-dish pizza.

After an hour of watching constant footage of Chicago "pies", we were ready to sell some valuables to eat a slice of our own. Unfortunately, we can't go to Chicago and we sort of need our car, so making one was the next best option.
I'm a pretty impatient person, but I was able to tough it out for a few hours while I let the dough rise. When it was done, it smelled glorious! I was kind of sad to mush it down and flatten it out into the spring-form pan. You know the next part: lotsa sauce and lotsa cheese! Lastly, toppings! We're meatatarians in our house, but we threw in some green peppers to diversify the taste and not look like unhealthy, heart attack-inviting freaks to whomever might read this blog.

Then, you wait.
Or, you take a nap on Mama.
And then, you cruelly fail to post a picture of the finished product or anyone in your family enjoying it because, well, you ate it too quickly. For what it's worth, the pizza was delicious and stunk up our house with so much yummy goodness that we've been drooling ever since.

You need to post the recipe.

And make it again so you can take the finished product picture.
