Since Ben is in class this month, he had the holiday off yesterday! We took advantage of the extended weekend and headed out for a day trip to his Grandma's in South Carolina. Grandma Lou's house is exactly the way Grandma's should be: warm, cozy, fun, relaxing, and brimming with yummy food! We arrived Sunday night and had a great time catching up with Ben's cousin, Dakota, who is home briefly from work in Asia with his brother, Daniel. The next morning -per Dakota's request- we had a special "Grandma's Breakfast"- sausage, biscuits and gravy, and cheesy eggs! Soooooo tasty! Ben, Daniel, and Dakota spent the rest of the morning chatting about Asia while observing Gabriel go hurtling down the driveway on a mini-car. The neighborhood echoed with his joyful "Wheeeeeeeeee!" and Grandma and I had girl talk on the porch. Day trips to South Carolina are the best!Tuesday, February 17, 2009
