July babies.

We had a great 4th of July because Ben got a 4-day weekend from ALS! We headed over to Boiling Springs, SC to stay a few days with his Grandma Lou and Papaw Jackie. The boys had a blast: Eli was cuddled and held around the clock, and Gabriel reveled in the endless stream of guaranteed entertainment at Grandma's house. He ran around barefoot outside, played with legos in a kiddie pool (that's how everyone does it, right?), got drenched in bubbles after getting drenched in a freak thunderstorm, ran through the sprinklers with Aunt Kim and Grandma Lou, aaaaaaaaand saw some fireworks (the report from Ben was that he was initially frightened, but eventually calmed down). We had the best time! And as always, it was refreshing and comforting to be able to spend some time with family. We're blessed to have them just across the border :)

On the Eli front, we have moved into rolling-over territory! He's a rolling machine, which delights him almost as much as it delights us. Well, at least for 10 minutes; Then he gets tired, buries his face in the blanket, and screams for rescue. He weighs 14 lbs., 12 oz. ... Talk about a chunker! We love his chubby legs and jolly little tummy!
