I can see it.

Kate blogged about the Bend today (the original idea behind the Bend here).

We are bending right now.

Major life changes are afoot in our household. We are sitting upon a still sea, craning our necks from the bow of the ship and just ahead, we can see it: the storm.

Anticipating saying good-bye (for now) to friends who have been carefully let in and drawn near to our hearts.

Anticipating saying good-bye (forever) to someone who's held my heart when I was as big as the tiny ones sleeping upstairs. The memories, they play in my head, grainy and silent like old movies streaming through a projector. And I try not to think too much about it just yet -to not mourn just yet.

Anticipating the intense prickle of judgment... the humid, smoldering stare of disapproval. Reaching and grabbing wildly for joy, for gratitude... for peace that surpasses all understanding.

Reminding oneself that He is holding me, He is holding us, He is.

Hope you're doing okay, Friend. You know where to find me if you need anything!

Thank you for sharing the intimacy that is your bend.
