Christmas Catch-Up.

Can you believe it, I went the first month since I started this blog without publishing a single post! The first half of December was spent anxiously counting down the days until we left for Ohio, and the latter half was spent having fun! Prepare for a million pictures!
Everyone was thrilled to meet and cuddle with this sweet boy. Both Gabriel and Eli were older babies (6 mths. and 8 mths.) when they celebrated their first Christmas, so it was fun and interesting to have a little baby during the holidays. He was held all day long and impressed/grossed everyone out with his constant puking. But you really can't stay mad at that face for long, now can you?
The boys had so much fun experiencing snow for the first time. Gabriel adored it! He was always bugging us to put on his boots and coat, and every time snow began to fall, he'd stand by the front windows and yell, "I can't wait!" Papaw helped them make two snowmen and of course, many snowballs were thrown. Eli only wanted to play in it for a limited time, and then he wanted to go inside and be snuggled back to warmth. And no one was complaining about the obligatory cocoa Grandma brewed after every outing!
Holiday time isn't complete without kitchen fun, right? Gabriel helped Grandma make eggnog muffins Christmas Eve morning. He was so tickled to be allowed to help and did a pretty good job not spilling all the ingredients on the floor. Margo and I were gifted these awesome customized aprons by my brother-in-law, Jeremy. Aren't they great?!
We also visited Clifton Mill, which is decorated in 3.5 million lights during the holidays every year. They have some great miniature displays (including a tiny replica of the house from A Christmas Story) and Santa's workshop, but my favorite part is the light and music show. Eli, our resident music lover, boogied throughout the entire thing in Ben's arms; so cute and funny!
We also visited The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton as well as the kids' museum at the Cincinnatti Museum Center at Union Station. The boys had a great time and especially enjoyed the waterworks at both museums. As you can see in the above picture, Ben barely saved that little girl from getting a bucket of water dumped on her by Eli. He's a gentleman, that Eli.Thanks to everyone who gifted us with some great presents! Nothing was more special though, than seeing everyone and spending time together as a family. We love you all!
