These boys.

They fill our days up.

With temper tantrums and snuggles,
with wrestling matches and story time, with
mandarin oranges and apple slices and stolen cupcakes.

The diapers pile up, the dirty laundry threatens to
overtake the house, and somehow, 25 miniature cups
accumulate in the kitchen sink.

In the evening, though, when they're all
in their beds and the sight of their pouty sleep-faces
is hard to resist, we don't think of the craziness of
the day... just the beauty. And we say our prayers
that we'll never take them for granted, that we'll raise
them right, and that they'll be best friends and
find as much delight in each other's company
as they do right now.

"... A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
Ecclesiastes 4:12

Oh, I hope their friendship blossoms, too, and they'll always be close. My husband is the youngest of three boys all two years apart and they are good friends today despite the years and miles.

How sweet! What a special friendship and bond I'm sure they'll always have! That verse is perfect! Love it. :)
