... post-Thanksgiving visit with Bay Area family.

We spent the last few days of our trip out west with my grandparents (known as Nonno -Italian for grandpa- and Avo -Portuguese for grandma). Gabriel and Eli adored them, and took to them right away.
- It really touched my heart to watch my Nonno roll around on the ground and rough-house with them; he's been battling cancer for the last few months, and his good attitude and big heart are inspiring. He really lives life to the fullest.
- My Avo fawned over them the way every Grandma does and delighted Gabriel with as many molasses cookies he wanted and more ice cream than he's ever consumed in his short life!
- My awesome cousin, Matt, went with us to the zoo (seriously, my cousins are all SO AMAZING and hilarious!)
